Production is expected to begin in September 2026, with vehicles expected to start arriving at MINI dealers in October.

The MINI Rooftop Edition pairs Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic and Melting Silver III Metallic in two inverse combinations. Choose an Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic body, and Melting Silver III Metallic covers the roof and mirror caps. Select a Melting Silver III Metallic body, and Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic provides the contrasting roof and mirror caps.
Coordinating bonnet and rear stripes extend the roof color across the vehicle, while 17-inch U-Spoke Grey wheels and Piano Black exterior trim add to the distinctive appearance. Inside, Vescin Black with Black Knit upholstery and John Cooper Works sport seats create a more restrained cabin that lets the colorful exterior remain the star.
Another MINI Icon Drop Arrives
The Rooftop Edition is the fifth of eight limited-edition releases in the 2026 MINI Icon Drops series. Earlier drops include the motorsport-inspired 1965 Victory Edition, Red Line Edition, Paul Smith Editions, and Cooper Heritage Edition. Three more special-edition releases are planned before the series concludes.
The timing also coincides with a milestone for the brand: 2026 marks 25 years since the launch of the modern MINI. The Icon Drops series celebrates that history while giving MINI enthusiasts limited-production variations on familiar models.
