MINI is off to a great start in 2013. In March, MINI dealerships were certainly busy. The automaker saw sales last month up over 3%. Given the introduction of the Paceman last month, it was expected that MINI would have a good month. Here’s what vehicles people were driving away in.
The strong sales were driven in large part by the continued success of the Countryman, which sold 1,761 units. However, the success of the Roadster in March also helped round out the month. The Roadster sold 309 vehicles. Let’s not forget the Paceman. MINI sold 169 Paceman models.
In total, MINI USA reported sales of 6,071 automobiles last month. That comes to a 3.5% increase from the 5,866 vehicles sold in March 2012. Year to date, MINI has sold more than 14,000 vehicles in the US. That’s a lot of satisfied MINI drivers out there.
Sales of MINI used vehicles also saw an increase as well in March. The automaker sold 1,721 pre-owned MINI models. That’s up half of percent from March 2012. This year, sales of MINI used vehicles are up 21.4% compared to the same time last year.
