The JCW MINI is one impressive vehicle as I discussed last week. Now, a couple other MINI vehicles are going to benefit from the impressive technology that powers this high-performance MINI model. The JCW engine kit is coming to the R58 Coupe and R59 Roadster later this year. In Winter Park, MINI Cooper used drivers applaud the move. It’ll allow an even wider group of MINI drivers to get the JCW experience.
The tuning kit will be the same 197 horsepower kit found in other MINI cars. However, the kit also comes with a couple other perks. These upgraded cars will get sports exhaust with chrome finish tailpipes with the laser etched JCW logo. Also, the JCW tuning kit has an adapted air filter, modified engine control unit, and JCW badges performance data.
So, when MINI fans decide to adopt the JCW tuning kit, they’re really getting the JCW experience. The kit will cost around $2,000. However, judging from the features, it’s certainly worth it.
