With a new BMW-sourced 2.0 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower and nearly 236 lb-ft of torque, this vehicle packs a punch. MINI reports that this model will get from 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds with the six-speed automatic transmission and 6.1 seconds with the manual. The new vehicle also has a sports exhaust system, aerodynamic improvements from past models and a new suspension tuning. All MINI convertibles have a power soft top and a glass rear window.
Some standard features of the 2016 John Cooper Works convertible include the Always Open Time, which gives owners the ability to calculate how many hours they have driven with their top down. The MINI connected infotainment system has a 6.5-inch touchscreen that offers access to the owners’ apps, Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition. The drive mode selector will offer three driving modes: green, mid and sport.
