Last week at an event in Ponce, Puerto Rico, MINI was making a lot of exciting announcements that were sure to please plenty of MINI fans. The automaker was there to present the 2013 Paceman and John Cooper Works GP to members of the media. However, those two models weren’t all that MINI discussed.

MINI product planners said that the brand’s lineup of cars could actually expand to include up to 10 models. While this is certainly a long-term evolution, that didn’t stop MINI fans from speculating what types of models might fill out the automaker’s roster.

As those at MINI Countryman dealers know, the automaker currently has seven models: the Hardtop, Clubman, Convertible, Countryman, Coupe, Roadster and Paceman. With such a diverse array of models already, what could MINI possibly be planning?

According to David Duncan, MINI USA sales manager, these three remaining models could fall into any range of areas, or “any segment that makes sense for a small car.” It’s really too early for MINI to be discussing specifics. However, from Duncan’s comments, it does appear that the automaker is considering all possibilities.

What type of model do you want to see next from MINI? At Orlando MINI, we like how MINI is always coming up with a brand new vehicle that appeals yet another niche of its customers.
